19 april - 22 april 2020
Conservatoruim van Amsterdam
at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, given by Sandrine Chatron
The yearly audition training course for harpists will be given by Sandrine Chatron,
solo harpist at the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, teacher at the
Conservatorium van Amsterdam and at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève.
The training will take place from the 19th to the 22nd of April 2020.
This course takes the form of an orchestral repertoire coaching course, focusing on
audition preparation, providing the opportunity for mock auditions, and a final
audition with a professional jury at the end of the course. The winner of the final
audition will be invited to play one program with the Nederlands Philharmonisch
Orkest during the next season (http://www.orkest.nl/).
The main purpose of the training is to provide the opportunity to experience first
hand an audition situation, and all that that entails, the sense of competition, the
possibility of stage fright, and the level of concentration needed. These specific
issues and others will be approached directly, enabling the participants to master
their skills in preparation for an audition.
The work will be done on an individual and a group basis.

music at the Paris Conservatoire in 1995. She studied with Gérard
-Claire Jamet, Frédérique Cambreling and Germaine

and has been a teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam since
